Privacy Policy

RAKO Media (ABN 20 612 651 240) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, and what I do with it. It's written to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What I collect

I only collect information you choose to give me. That's usually:

• Your name, business name and email address, when you fill in the enquiry form
• Your name, email address, phone number and anything you write in the notes field, when you book a call through the booking calendar
• Anything you send me directly by email or social media

I don't collect payment details through this website, and I don't ask for sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act.

Why I collect it

To reply to your enquiry, run our call, send you a proposal, and if we end up working together, to deliver the work and invoice you. That's it. I don't sell your information to anyone, ever, and I don't add you to a mailing list unless you've explicitly asked to be on one.

Who else can see it

This website and the tools behind it are run by third-party providers who necessarily process some of your data on my behalf:

• Netlify, which hosts this website and receives enquiry form submissions
• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), which runs the booking calendar and stores my client records
• Google, for email and analytics

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. By submitting your details you consent to that overseas transfer. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data.

Cookies and analytics

This site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The embedded booking calendar is served by GoHighLevel and may set its own cookies in order to function. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though the booking calendar may not work properly if you do.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as the engagement runs, and then for seven years afterwards, which is what Australian tax and business record-keeping rules require.

Keeping it secure

This site is served over HTTPS. Accounts holding your information are protected with strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication where the provider supports it. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you give me.

Accessing or deleting your information

You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email hello@rakomedia.com.au and I'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge for this.

Complaints

If you think I've mishandled your personal information, email me first at hello@rakomedia.com.au and I'll try to sort it out. If you're not satisfied with my response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
